Dia De Los Muertos: A Film About Love In All The Wrong Places

Who we are: Laura, Bree, and Josey; three creative minds coming together to bring this story to life. We are all film students combining our knowledge and imaginations to bring our visions and ideas to the screen.

What our film is about: This is a story about a young man and woman who meet in a very unorthodox way. Their incredibly varied outlooks on life, love, and the great beyond keep them fascinated by one another, yet could ultimately tear them apart.

Why you should back us: Sadly, the arts are poorly funded and making a film can be costly. As artists, our main goals are to share our stories, provoke thoughts, and entertain our audience.

What the money is for: The money from this Kickstarter Project will be used to fund the production of this film which includes equipment rental, purchases and props. Also for the fulfillment of the rewards.

Rewards:

Colorful Day of the Dead skulls signed by the creators.

Signed photographs of Heather Morris and Ashley Lendzion.

Character artwork from the film signed by the creators and actors.

The original sock puppet used in Ashley and Heather’s film “The Elevator”

Thank you to everyone who is willing to help. Really, it means a lot to us. And like I said in the video, even if you can’t back us, the very best thing you can do is reblog this post, post a link on your Facebook, your Twitter, anywhere people can see it. It really does help just as much! Follow this blog to keep up with what’s going on with production and to get more info when we start filming!

As gLOST nears and final editions are being finished of the script, we are still missing crucial cast members. All female leads have been cast (however if you’d like to be a bit part/extra, please contact us) - we need some very important males though, Puck, Sam, Artie and Blaine. We are hoping to shoot early summer, shooting will be in Orange County, Hollywood & Malibu California. If you know someone who could totally play the role, please send them our way - you do not have to be a gifted singer, this piece is a parody and will be mocking Glee/LOST in a strange twist as New Directions faces off against Vocal Adrenaline yet again and crash lands in a strange place. Are they all dead? Is it someones dream? Are they past lives? Who even knows.

Yes - its happening (still). Production for gLOST was halted due to losing some of our cast and crew to personal issues but we’re back on track and still casting our final roles. Do you live in Southern California and are you a shoe in for Mr. Schue? Are you sassy like Santana?

The main roles we are trying to currently cast are Will, Santana, Finn, Quinn, Mercedes, Puck, Artie and we need others to play random members of Vocal Adrenaline, do you have what it takes?

On their way to a large scale competition, the New Directions are involved in a plane crash and stuck on an island. How ill they survive the others {vocal adrenaline] the lack of herbal tea, and Rachel’s rambling at all hours of the night? You’ll have to find out. Will we provide more questions than answers? Possibly, but the whole things is guaranteed not to make much sense. Participate with caution.

NOW CASTING SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ACTORS/GLEEKS/LOSTIES for shooting in June/Early July.

Who do we need? There are still plenty of main cast spoofers we need, plus vocal adrenaline. Do you look like someone from Glee? Can you sing (doesn’t have to be perfect)? Good at comedy? Hit us up!

This short is by our production companies “bff” Vicio Studios- collaborating with two others to create this adorable film. It lifts my spirits.

We are the music makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams;—
World-losers and world-forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams:
Yet we are the movers and shakers
Of the world for ever, it seems.
